|
Pitcher Alec Pittman was sensational for the Royse City Targaryens in his team's 7-1 triumph over the Milton Dogfish Head. Pittman received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Pittman, now 2-0, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing 1 earned run. Royse City has an impressive 62-31 record.
In the bottom of the first, Terrence Eler hit a 2-run home run for Royse City. The 39th home run of the season for the Royse City first baseman put the Targaryens on top, 2-0.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Pittman told reporters after the game.
