Hotspur Reserves Come Up Short at Plymouth
|
Plymouth Rocks starter Rio Bavin was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves, 3-2. Rodrigo Rangel got the save, his 3rd in 3 chances. Plymouth occupies 8th place in the Premier AAA at 41-50.
Edgardo De Jesús, who is tied for 9th in the PAAA with a .403 on-base percentage, aided the Plymouth cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk.
"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," De Jesús told the Plymouth Bulletin.
