Tritons Run Win Streak to 8
|
The Jersey City Tritons extended their winning streak at Thunderbirds Stadium.
The Jersey City Tritons got a strong performance from pitcher Pang Qin, who stymied the Phoenix offense en route to a 9-1 win at Thunderbirds Stadium. In 7.2 innings, Qin surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 0. He allowed no runs.
One important at-bat came with a runner on 2nd in the top of the sixth inning. Facing Phoenix hurler Kenny Kawaguchi, Ju-chan Pak, who is tied for 5th in the PAAA in RBI with 50, hit a run-scoring double. The Tritons went on to win.
"We had a nice day," said Jersey City skipper Pierre Muller.
The winning continues for Jersey City, with the latest making it 8 straight.
