ParksNRec Continue Skid Thanks to Sánchez, Hotspur Reserves
|
The Phoenix Hotspur Reserves dealt the Pawnee ParksNRec a 10-5 loss at Whips Ballpark. Enrico Sánchez was the star on offense. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to Vernon Turner in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Jon Dunn took the loss. The ParksNRec, now 15-38, have lost 7 straight.
Had Sánchez not come through in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Sánchez hit a 2-run home run. The Hotspur Reserves never looked back after taking the 7-5 lead.
"We came out aggressive," said Hotspur Reserves manager Bill Clark. "We came out swinging the bats."
