The Salt Lake City Buzz powered past the Bakersfield Nobles, 9-4, at Jerome Grounds. Vicente Cruz went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2, to lead the charge. Salt Lake City now has a 5-game win streak.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the top of the fifth inning. That's when first baseman Scott Ramsey, who was drafted in the three round of the 2023 draft, reached on an error by the SS. The Buzz went on to win.
