Hotspur Reserves Subdue Jersey City, 3-1
|
António Alomar could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Jersey City Tritons lost, dropping a 3-1 decision to the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves at Jersey City Grounds. Dennis Dunn got credit for the save for Phoenix. It was his 4th of the year. Phoenix occupies 8th place in the Premier AAA at 12-20.
Phoenix took the lead in the top of the seventh. With one out and the bases empty, Enrico Sánchez stroked a solo home run to make it 2-1, Hotspur Reserves.
"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Sánchez.
