Victory Over Nobles Takes Salt Lake City to 21-11
Getting an impressive start from Paco Manuel, Salt Lake City beat Bakersfield by the score of 6-2. Manuel got the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 3 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. Manuel allowed 1 earned run. Luis Bejarano earned the save for Salt Lake City, his 5th.

Tied up with the Nobles in the top of the fourth inning, the Buzz got a boost from designated hitter Vicente Cruz. With the bases loaded, Cruz saw a 1-0 cutter from Gob Bluth and hit a 2-run single to break the stalemate and put Salt Lake City on top, 2-0.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Salt Lake City manager Enrique Zumaya. "Our pregame was pretty good."
