The Jersey City Tritons did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Naperville Battlekings at Jersey City Grounds. Nobody did more than pitcher António Alomar, who captured player of the game honors. Alomar got the win, improving to 4-2. He allowed 7 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. Alomar allowed 2 earned runs. Anthony Ledesma closed the game out for Jersey City, earning his 8th save.

It could have been a different outcome for Jersey City, had it not been for Mike Strickland, the 25-year old third baseman . Strickland contributed a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the second inning to put Jersey City up, 2-0.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Alomar told the Jersey City Daily.
