Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Royse City Stadium.
Terrence Eler added some punch to the Royse City offense, helping them outmuscle the Milton Dogfish Head, 9-8. In the game, Eler, who is tied for 3rd in the PAAA in RBI with 22, went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Royse City, at 16-4, has sizzled in the early going.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Royse City second baseman Felipe Campos, facing Vincente Ortíz, had a run-scoring double. It gave the Targaryens the 9-8 win.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Campos told the Royse City Citizen.
