McDowell No-Hits Hops
It was the game that pitchers dream about: the no-hitter.

It happened today at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. Louis McDowell of the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks was right on target against the Yakima Hops in a 6-0 victory. McDowell zeroed in on them, holding them hitless with 11 strikeouts and 2 walks.

"I just had it all today," McDowell told BNN reporters after the game. "Very good stuff and great location. That is a combination that's hard to beat."

So far this year McDowell has made 18 starts, tossed 124.1 innings, struck out 115 batters and walked 57. His record is 6-8 with a 4.42 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .276 batting average.
