Heron Field was the site for M3L Double A action featuring the Glendale Herons and Marquette Miners.

The Marquette Miners picked up a win at Heron Field, knocking off the Glendale Herons, 5-1. Starting pitcher Melvin Tiburcio, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Tiburcio, now 7-5, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 4, and allowing 1 earned run. Felipe Pereira was called on to finish, recording his 9th save.

In the top of the sixth inning, right fielder Adrian McCoy came through big-time for the Miners. With Marquette leading 1-0, he belted a 2-run home run.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said McCoy. "And not try to do too much."

Marquette is now 48-41, while Glendale is 51-38.
