Thunder Hawks Shut Out Polar Bears
|
Ft. Polk South starter Raneem Zogby pitched effectively against the Billings Polar Bears at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a 3-0 win. The winning pitcher was Zogby, now 4-1. He tossed 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8. Ft. Polk South now sits in 6th place in the Menard's AA at 44-41.
Also making an impact was right fielder Lee Suárez, who drilled a 2-run single in the bottom of the first inning for the Thunder Hawks. For the game, Suárez was 1-3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Ft. Polk South manager Howard Martínez. "It's usually not just one thing."
