Atoms Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Ghosts
|
Bethesda rode a fine outing from starter Vincent O'Higgin to victory over the Casper Ghosts at The Graveyard. The final score was 5-1. O'Higgin went 8.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 9. His record improves to 4-2. Bethesda now owns a record of 40-40.
Bethesda center fielder Renato Zuvic helped the Atoms go up, 3-1, in the top of the fifth inning. With the game tied, Zuvic hit a 2-run single off Casper pitcher Pedro Herrera.
"I thought we played a nice game," O'Higgin told the Bethesda News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
