Manuel Ceja pitched well, but the Bethesda Atoms still lost the game, falling 3-1 to the Belvedere Park Rawhides at Atoms Field. Martin Alatas was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed 1 run on 3 hits, with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts. Gary Mason notched his 3rd save in 4 chances.
Juan Alvarado, who is tied for 5th in the 3AA in RBI with 47, aided the Belvedere Park cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop was 2-4 with a double.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Rawhides manager James Stewart, "I like our chances."
Belvedere Park is now riding a 4-game win streak.
