Victory Pushes Deuces Record to 38-32
|
Virginia Beach Deuces starter Érico Laborde pitched a strong game against the Bethesda Atoms at Atoms Field, leading the Deuces to a 6-2 win. In 7 innings, Laborde surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. The Deuces bumped their record to 38-32 with this latest triumph.
Early in the game, second baseman Stephen McManus had a 2-run home run for Virginia Beach. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Deuces on top, 2-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," McManus told the Virginia Beach Observer.
