Thunder Hawks Jolt Polar Bears with Late Rally
Despite a fine performance by left fielder José Cruz, the Billings Polar Bears suffered a 7-5 loss to the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks. Cruz was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Ft. Polk South reliever César Vásquez was credited with the win, to go to 6-0. Paco Rojas took the loss for Billings. Ft. Polk South is now 36-34.

Danny Trautmann was the walk-off hero for Ft. Polk South. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Thunder Hawks designated hitter hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Trautmann.
