Thunder Hawks Subdue Casper, 3-1

The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks got a magnificent performance from pitcher Raneem Zogby, who muffled the Casper offense en route to a tight 3-1 Thunder Hawks win at The Graveyard. The winning pitcher was Zogby, now 2-1. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. César Vásquez closed the game out for Ft. Polk South, earning his 3rd save.
It could have been a different outcome for Ft. Polk South, had it not been for Dallas Ihde, the 20-year old center fielder . Ihde contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Ft. Polk South up, 1-0.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Casper manager Mike Cunningham.
Today's win puts Ft. Polk South at 34-33, while Casper falls to 29-38.
