It was a fun time at Field of the Rawhides, where the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks and Belvedere Park Rawhides tangled.
The Belvedere Park Rawhides bested the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 5-3, at Field of the Rawhides. Pat Lloyd was named player of the game. He was 4-4 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 times. Martin Alatas got the win, improving to 2-5. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 6 hits and 1 run, while striking out 5 and walking 1.
Joey Trifone, who is rated as the 5th best prospect by BNN, helped out the Belvedere Park cause in the bottom of the third inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
"Enjoyed this one," Lloyd told the Belvedere Park Citizen. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
The Rawhides improved to 31-27.
