Miners Suffer 6-3 Loss to Herons
|
Glendale and Marquette duked it out at Heron Field and the Herons came out victorious.
The Glendale Herons overcame a good performance by Marquette second baseman Francisco Alfaro to knock off Marquette, 6-3, at Heron Field. Alfaro went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Hikaru Yamaguchi got the win, improving to 5-3. He held the Miners to 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 2.
Early in the game, designated hitter Jin-song Seah had a 3-run home run for Glendale. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Herons on top, 3-0.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Seah.
Glendale is now 29-15, while Marquette is 24-20.
