The Billings Polar Bears bested the Bethesda Atoms, 4-2, at Atoms Field. Armando Reyes was named player of the game. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times. Billings reliever Juan Sánchez was credited with the win, to go to 4-1. Vincent O'Higgin took the loss for Bethesda. Shigeko Sakoda picked up the save, his 2nd.
Kilipaki Malamapono, who is rated as the 73rd best prospect by BNN, aided the Billings cause with a 2-run triple in the top of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 3 with a triple and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling pretty confident after that win," said Malamapono.
Billings, at 16-21, sits in 9th place in the Menard's AA.
