Glendale Hot Streak Continues with 7-5 Win
|
The first-place Glendale Herons picked up another win at Heron Field.
The Glendale Herons downed the Little Caesars Hot N Readys, 7-5, at Heron Field. Takechi Okubo led the way, going 1-for-3 for Glendale. Glendale reliever Víctor Torres picked up the win to move to 3-1. Kent Scalici suffered the loss. Jason Troughton recorded the save for Glendale, his 1st of the season.
Glendale grabbed control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, Santiago Ramos delivered a 2-run single, to make it 7-5 in favor of the Herons.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Okubo told the Glendale Observer.
The slumping Hot N Readys have dropped 6 in a row.
