Victory Over Deuces Takes Glendale to 17-10
Sam Groves pitched well, but his team, the Virginia Beach Deuces, still dropped a 4-2 decision to the Glendale Herons at Heron Field. Yoriyoshi Yoshimura was the winning pitcher. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, with 5 walks and 5 strikeouts. Earning his 10th save of the year was Juan Sánchez.

Michael Sweeney put Glendale in front, 4-2, when he hit a solo home run off Sam Groves in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 4th home run of the season.
