Atoms Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Bethesda Atoms starter Manuel Ceja was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Ottawa Nationals, 7-2. The winning pitcher was Ceja, now 1-1. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 2. Mau Delgado closed the door for Bethesda, picking up his 3rd save of the year.
Héctor Amador helped out the Bethesda cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 3 with a walk.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Ceja said.
The 6th-place Atoms have won 4 in a row.
