Glendale starter Kagetoki Matsubara had a strong outing against the Casper Ghosts at Heron Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. Matsubara got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. Matsubara allowed 1 earned run. Glendale goes to 8-4 with the win.
Making an impact for Glendale was right fielder Michael Sweeney. He drilled a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, Sweeney went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles.
