Bowties Prevail, 4-2, Over Kingston Township
|
Fans who gathered at Cloverdale Legion Park saw a good contest between the Buckhead Bowties and Kingston Township Legion.
Kingston Township center fielder Alfredo Cardenas had a good game, even if his team did not. The Legion dropped a 4-2 decision to Buckhead at Cloverdale Legion Park. Cardenas was 4 for 5 with 4 singles. Buckhead reliever Tomás Vargas picked up the win, upping his record to 5-4. Noburo Oishi was saddled with the loss.
Seishiro Nishimura, who is on pace for 67 RBI this season, helped out the Buckhead cause in the top of the seventh inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the designated hitter was 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Nishimura.
Kingston Township's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
