Montana rode a fine outing from starter Ryan Peterson to victory over the Detroit Renaissance at Detroit Field. The final score was 4-1. Francisco García, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. Montana, at 41-43, sits in 8th place in the Third League.
In the top of the third inning, shortstop Armando Alvarado came through big-time for the Pandas. With Montana leading 2-1, he belted a 2-run home run.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Peterson.
