Loong Rips Las Vegas for 5 Hits
Qi-zhen Loong put on a hitting clinic today as the Greenville 84s dumped the Las Vegas Flamingos 16-3 at 84s Field.

The Greenville first baseman made Las Vegas defenders earn their pay, lashing Las Vegas pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Loong said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Qi-zhen Loong hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Doug Green in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

Loong is hitting .288 this year with 9 home runs and 45 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .340, 22 walks and scored 25 times.
