Stingers Fall Short, 5-4, at Seattle
Starting pitcher Ron Stone pitched well enough to help the Seattle Aviators beat the Toledo Stingers by the score of 5-4. Seattle reliever John Woods picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-1. Rob Silva was collared with the loss. Seattle is now 38-41.

Seattle took a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With two out, shortstop Nuygen Vuong hit a solo home run that set the crowd abuzz.

Vuong told the Seattle Observer: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
