Briddon Throws 1-Hitter En Route to 3-1 Legion Win
|
Jon Briddon pitched a gem to lead Kingston Township to a 3-1 victory over the Detroit Renaissance. Kingston Township currently is in 11th place in the Third League at 27-43.
Briddon was in the zone all game. He frustrated Detroit hitters while giving the Legion 9 innings of quality work. Briddon threw 116 pitches, allowing 1 hit and getting 8 punchouts.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Legion manager Rayzor Ray. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
