Hawks Best 1837 BBC in Pitching Duel
|
Austin Stewart never let the 1837 BBC get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Hawks to a 2-0 win. Stewart went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-5. Pat McCormick closed the door for Chicago, picking up his 2nd save of the year.
The Hawks picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Stewart.
The win puts the Hawks at 12-31, while the 1837 BBC drop to 23-20.
