Late Rally by Legion Secures Win
The Kingston Township Legion faced a tough opponent in Chicago pitcher Gabriel Herrera, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Cloverdale Legion Park by a final score of 1-0. Herrera went 8 innings and allowed no earned runs. The win was credited to John Riggleman in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Pat McCormick took the loss. Kingston Township currently is in 11th place in the Third League at 14-24.

Júlio Rodríguez was the walk-off hero for Kingston Township. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Legion second baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Legion manager Rayzor Ray. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
