The Plymouth Rocks topped the Milton Dogfish Head, 3-2, in USPL Triple A action at Milton Corner Tavern. The player of the game was Plymouth pitcher Zalontae Hillary. Hillary, now 2-0, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 2 earned runs. Roberto Aguirre earned the save for Plymouth, his 3rd of the year.
It could have been a different outcome for Plymouth, had it not been for Edgardo De Jesús, the 24-year old center fielder . De Jesús contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Plymouth up, 3-2.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Milton manager Joe Richard said following the tough loss.
The win leaves Plymouth with a record of 5-6.
