The Alloway Halberds got a strong performance from pitcher Antonio Godfrey, who stymied the Vermont offense en route to a 2-1 win at Ballpark of Alloway. The Halberds, at 51-47, have now won 4 straight.

The Halberds got a big at-bat from designated hitter Ethan Stanford. For the game, Stanford went 1-2 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 15th double of the season gave Alloway a 2-0 lead.
