Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Disaster
|
Wilson Longoria pitched a gem to lead Port Royal to a 2-1 victory over the Gryfindor Braves. Jackson Haines picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-3. José Vargo was tagged with the loss. The Disaster saw their record improve to 46-47.
David McJannett was the walk-off hero for Port Royal. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Disaster catcher hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Longoria told the Port Royal Chronicle.
