8-2 Reserves Win over Drummers Evens Season Record
|
Athletic Club KC first baseman Shintaro Yamada was instrumental in his team's 8-2 win over the Tortolita Drummers. Yamada went 3-3 with no runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Reserves. Ismael Calderón got the win, improving to 2-2. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 9 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 3. Athletic Club KC is now 45-45, Tortolita 42-48.
Yamada had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the first inning, when he hit a 2-run single. The Reserves went on to win.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Yamada.
