Alloway Halberds starter Domingo Álvarez turned in a top-notch performance against the Bloomington Longnecks at Ballpark of Alloway. The result was a win for the Halberds, 2-0. Matthew Fallows converted his 3rd save in 7 tries. Alloway, at 44-44, sits in 5th place in the Silver AAA.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 3rd and two out in the bottom of the fifth inning. That's when catcher Jerry Yates, who is tied for 2nd in the SAAA in doubles with 24, drew a walk. The Halberds went on to win.
