Pagnamenta Helps Disaster Run Win Streak to 5
|
Port Royal first baseman Sisto Pagnamenta was instrumental in his team's 8-5 win over the Houston BC. Pagnamenta, who leads the SAAA in runs scored with 64, went 4-6 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Disaster. Port Royal reliever Esteban García picked up the win, upping his record to 5-0. Bryan Palmer shouldered the loss. Jackson Haines sewed up the save, his 20th.
Pagnamenta came through with some timely hitting for Port Royal. With the score 3-2 in the top of the fourth and no one down, Pagnamenta hit a 1-2 knuckle curve for a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season made it 4-3, Port Royal.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Pagnamenta told reporters after the game.
The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Disaster.
