Multi-HR Day for Medine as Braves Overpower Reserves, 8-3
|
The Gryfindor Braves beat the Athletic Club KC Reserves, 8-3, at KC Reserve Stadium. The win was largely due to the efforts of left fielder Ignacio Medine, who captured player of the game honors. He belted 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Gryfindor is now 43-33, Athletic Club KC 38-38.
Medine had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-1 fastball from Adam Taylor, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Braves a 5-3 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Medine.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Medine told the Gryfindor Times.
