Vermont used a superb performance from starting pitcher Gerry Fleck to down the Scranton Supernovas, 3-1. Santo Velazco was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 12 of 14 save opportunities. Vermont, at 37-35, sits in 5th place in the Silver AAA.

The Lake Monsters got a big at-bat from left fielder Mark Armstead. For the game, Armstead was 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 16th double of the season gave Vermont a 3-1 lead.
