Disaster Fall Short, 8-7, at Tremont
Despite a fine performance by second baseman Nelson Abbey, the Port Royal Disaster suffered a 8-7 loss to the Tremont Doubledays. Abbey was 3 for 3 with 3 singles. Carlos Costello got credit for the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 1.2 innings. Tremont is now 36-31, Port Royal 29-38.

Fred Burt, who was drafted in the two round of the 2020 draft, aided the Tremont cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first. For the game, the left fielder went 1-2 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Tremont manager Lendon Tipton.
