Doubledays Turn Back Alloway, 3-2

Alloway got a terrific performance from pitcher Matthew Fallows, but it wasn't enough to beat the Tremont Doubledays. Tremont won the Ballpark of Alloway contest, 3-2. Fallows was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball. Josef Strolz got the win, improving to 4-5. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 5 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 4. Alonso Martínez was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 6 save opportunities.
Fred Burt drew 1 walk for Tremont. The 29-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Matthew Fallows. It was his 22nd RBI of the season.
"I felt good up there," said Burt. "I saw the ball well."
Tremont, at 32-28, sits in third place in the Silver AAA.
