Port Royal Disaster starter Jim Sison was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Houston BC, 5-3. Kevin Samuels got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. Jackson Haines, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 10th save.
Port Royal took a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With one out, center fielder Javier Martínez hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Sison.
The BC, now 16-39, have lost 10 in a row.
