Great Day for Garza in Lake Monsters Win
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Alejandro Garza, the Vermont Lake Monsters defeated the Gryfindor Braves, 9-7. Garza was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once for the Lake Monsters. Vermont is 25-26 and Gryfindor, with the loss, 27-24.
Garza had a game-changing double in the bottom of the eighth. On a 0-1 fastball from Marv Bradford, he banged a 2-run double to left-center, giving the Lake Monsters a 9-7 lead. It was the 2nd double of the year for Garza.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Garza said.
