Pitcher Atila Freska was sensational for the Bloomington Longnecks in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Houston BC. Freska received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Freska, the winner, moves to 6-0. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 1 walk. Keith Rojas got credit for the save for Bloomington. It was his 15th of the year.

The Longnecks beat the BC in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out double Benedict Patel produced in the bottom of the fifth. Batting against Houston pitcher Stef Dijkman, Patel gave his team a 2-1 lead when he hit a run-scoring double.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Freska said.

Houston has now lost 7 straight.
