Longnecks Edge Past BC, 3-2

The Bloomington Longnecks did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Houston BC at Lookouts Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Bob Mullinax, who captured player of the game honors. The winner was Keith Rojas in relief. His record improves to 1-0. William DeWitt took the loss. The BC, now 10-25, have lost 6 in a row.
Gabrio Campoverde was the walk-off hero for Bloomington. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Longnecks right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"Coulda, shoulda, woulda," said Houston manager Jerry Moore. "We had our chances and didn't cash in."
