Reserves Fall to .500 After Loss to Supernovas
|
Despite a great performance by Athletic Club KC first baseman Shintaro Yamada, the Scranton Supernovas defeated the Reserves by the score of 6-3 at KC Reserve Stadium. Yamada was 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk. Picking up the save was Jeff Schneider, his 1st. The Supernovas' win now puts them at 15-19.
Felipe Bruno had a big run-scoring double for the Supernovas in the top of the fifth inning. With Scranton trailing 3-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Ernesto Lucero and stroked the double to left. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Supernovas ahead, 3-2.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Bruno.
