5-2 Win by Longnecks Continues Hot Start
The Bloomington Longnecks downed the Port Royal Disaster, 5-2, at Lookouts Ballpark. Benedict Patel led the way, going 3-for-4 for Bloomington. Bloomington reliever Tomás Galván picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Loren Berdine shouldered the loss. The Longnecks boast a remarkable 25-5 record.

Patel had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Longnecks went on to win.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Patel, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
