Lake Monsters Get Road Win, 6-3
Vermont and Port Royal duked it out at Ballpark of Port Royal and the Lake Monsters came out victorious.

Despite a great performance by Port Royal catcher Gary Chalmers, the Vermont Lake Monsters defeated the Disaster by the score of 6-3 at Ballpark of Port Royal. Chalmers went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Cherles Gachineiro, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed 3 runs on 9 hits in 6.2 innings. Santo Velazco earned the save, his 2nd, for the Lake Monsters.

Also making an impact was second baseman Barkley B. Cooltimes, who drilled a 2-run triple in the top of the third inning for the Lake Monsters. For the game, Cooltimes went 1-3 with a triple and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs.

Cooltimes attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."

Vermont is now 16-10, Port Royal 7-19.
