The Alloway Halberds defeated the Bloomington Longnecks, 7-4, in USSL Triple A action at Lookouts Ballpark, with Alloway pitcher Francisco García named player of the game. Alloway is now 11-10. Bloomington is 19-2.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 2nd and two out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when center fielder Rafael Delgado, who is tied for 2nd in the SAAA in triples with 2, hit a run-scoring single. The Halberds went on to win.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Delgado told the Alloway Observer.
