Disaster Fall Short, 5-4, at Alloway
|
Alloway right-hander Ángel Rosas pitched his team to victory over the Port Royal Disaster at Ballpark of Alloway. The final score was 5-4. Bryan Tuff earned the save for Alloway, his 2nd of the year. Port Royal, at 2-14, has had a dismal start to the season.
Maturín, Venezuela-born Rafael Delgado came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded and the Halberds trailing 1-0, he hit a bases-clearing triple to right-center to put Alloway on top.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Delgado told the Alloway Observer.
